Putting art in your home can be a great way to personalize your space and express your individuality. There are many ways to display art in your home, and the best way will depend on your personal style, the type of art you have, and the size and layout of your space. Here are some tips to help you choose the best way to put art in your house:

  1. Consider the size and scale of the art: The size of your art should be in proportion to the size of the wall or space where it will be displayed. If you have a large blank wall consider putting a large art piece that will make it pop. Alternatively, if you have a small office space consider adding A5-size artwork around your desk or wall.

2. Think about the style of the art: The style of the art should complement the decor of your home. For example, traditional paintings look best in formal settings, while contemporary pieces are ideal for more modern spaces.

3. Choose the right type of frame: A well-chosen frame can enhance the look of your art and protect it from damage. Consider the colour, style, and material of the frame to complement the artwork and your decor.

4. Decide on a display style: There are many ways to display art in your home, including hanging it on the wall, displaying it on a shelf or mantel, or using it as a focal point in a room. Consider what will work best for your space and art.

5. Group similar pieces together: Grouping similar pieces together can create a cohesive look and make a big impact. You can also mix and match different styles and types of art to create a more eclectic look.

6. Experiment with lighting: Proper lighting can really make your art stand out. Try using a combination of natural and artificial lighting, and experiment with different lighting angles to find the best display for your art.

7. Bonus tip: Tell a story. You can tell a story of your home from the moment someone walks through the door. Ask yourself: what do I want to feel when I come home? what do I want my visitors to feel? if the living room for is for fun and games — consider putting colourful pieces here. The bedroom is for sleep, calmness and clarity — consider putting black and white pieces.

Remember, the best way to put art in your house is the way that makes you happy and comfortable. Don’t be afraid to experiment and try new things. With a little creativity and thought, you can create a beautiful and personalized art display in your home.
